Main Event Focus: The Daniel Bryan WrestleMania Puzzle

Starting out Monday Night Raw with the six superstars that will fight for the coveted WWE World Heavyweight title at The Elimination Chamber was a decent move on WWE's part, but it still lacked the makings of a great opening segment for WWE's flagship weekly show.

The opening segment did have a few highlights to it, like John Cena and Antonio Cesaro having a few words with each other about  Cesaro possibly being the future of the company, and of course Sheamus telling both Cena and Cesaro that they would both look pretty funny after Sheamus brogue kicks their teeth in.

Future star power and comic relief aside, this segment still wasn't all it could have been. The segment lacked electricity and chaos, with all six superstars arguing like little kids over who would get to play with the new toy next. The WWE would have definitely benefited from having some physical spots in this segment

Even worse than the absence of physicality in the opening,  was the promos the superstars cut on their way to the ring. Cena continued to rely on his usual, if you think your good enough to be the face of The WWE, step up, but be warned, you will earn your spot on the top of the mountain, and of course his annoying name drops of Bryan and Cesaro, to get a cheap reaction or two from the crowd.

While the superstars continued to argue, WWE's director of operations , Kane, made his way to the ring and announced that all six participants in the Elimination Chamber would be in action tonight. He booked John Cena versus Antonio Cesaro for later in the night, prompting both men to exchange glares as the crowd cheered for the upcoming match.

The second match would be Daniel Bryan versus Christian. The WWE Universe didn't have much time to celebrate the booking however, as Kane announced the match would start right now. Before Bryan could end his heated stare down with his former tag team partner, Christian clubbed him in the back from behind, effectively turning heel, and receiving a heated reaction from the crowd.

The match itself seemed to be focused on Christians new found villain persona , and making Bryan look as valiant as possible heading into The Chamber. Bryan had suffered a apparent shoulder injury during Christians opening attack when he was tossed into the rings steps , and struggled to mount a decent offense as the match went on.

Bryan eventually hit a running kick right into the face of Christian in the corner. He then tried to follow it up with another kick, but was met by a big boot by Captain Charisma. As the match went on, Bryan tried desperately to lock in The Yes Lock on Christian, but seemed unable to do so because of his injury.

The match continued on, with Christian trying to hit The kill switch on Bryan and finish him off, but The Yes Man was able to reverse the second Kill switch into a roll up for the victory on Christian. Kane then rose from his seat at ringside to congratulate  Bryan, but then informed The Bearded Warrior that he had one more match this evening. Against him.

Kane dominated the match from the get go by targeting Bryan's injured shoulder. Bryan did manage a missile drop kick on Kane, but soon found his injured shoulder wrenched against a steel ring post, until the referee was forced to disqualify Kane. The Big Red Monster  made light of his actions by grabbing a microphone and sarcastically stating that he knew he was disqualified. The Denver crowd continued their chants of " You sold out" as Bryan laid at ringside in pain.

REACTION

The WWE just can't seem to find equal footing in any storyline they have perused this season. The opening segment wasn't the worse it could have been, but it wasn't that much better then listening to Randy Orton bitch to the authority about his matches and title defenses. Having Christian go heel certainly was a surprise aspect for The WWE Universe, but the way it was  all planned just had little excitement to it.

The WWE  should have given the superstars more time to speak before they were interrupted by another superstar in the chamber match. That aspect gave the segment little build, as each competitor wasn't really given a fair chance to fire the crowd the up.

Not giving Sheamus and Bryan more time to fire up the audience was a huge mistake as well. The WWE Universe has made it quite clear who they want to hear from, and the WWE let that happen more often, instead of overshadowing him with the likes of Cena and Orton.

As for the storyline, i find myself confused as to what this is all setting up to. The hope is that this is a underdog story that will lead Bryan all the way to the Main Even of WrestleMania, but the reality of the situation seems so much more crippling.

It seems like Daniel Bryan will indeed be taking CM Punk's vacated WrestleMania 30 spot against Triple H or someone in the Authority. If that's the case, then this will truly be a bittersweet show of shows for fans who want to see Bryan in the Main Even come Mania.

As for the match, it seemed to highlight both superstars equally as they head into the Chamber match this Sunday. Christian's heel turn has made him a much more surprising athlete to watch in the ring. The hunger in his eyes is more visible as heel, then it ever was as a baby face.

Daniel Bryan worked his shoulder injury perfectly during the match, to build up suspense and surprise with the crowd. You could literally hear The Universe gasp in shock and worry every single time that Bryan landed on that bad shoulder. Having Bryan struggle to lock in "The Yes Lock" gave that added touch of making him look vulnerable during the matchup. To the audience, it almost looked like Bryan was running out of options to put Christian away.

Bryan winning by roll up pin however, was not the best idea. I know The WWE wants to make Bryan look like the underdog heading into the Elimination Chamber match, but to make him look weak versus Christian, was a definite mistake. If it would have been Orton, Cena or even Sheamus, the idea of making Bryan the underdog would be a big more believable, in my opinion.

We as fans can only wait and see what The WWE decides to do with Daniel Bryan's push heading into WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans. It all depends on how the WWE uses this shoulder injury of his at The Elimination Chamber. If they use his injury to build him up as the underdog in the match, he could have a good chance of winning the WWE World Heavyweight title at the end of the night.

But if they overuse the shoulder injury and replace him in The Chamber match with another superstar, then you can pretty much guarantee that Triple H versus Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30 is set in stone.

Even if Bryan does come close to winning the title in chamber match, it will only be used as a ploy to get the crowd excited as the bout comes to a close. He will then most continue to feud with The Authority, and again face Triple H at Mania.

Randy Orton's Effectivness as a Heel

It is no secret that most fans hate Randy Orton, but is that a good thing? doesn't that mean he is being effective in his role as WWE's resident villain? Is it him we really hate, or is it the gimmick he is portraying?

I join most fans in the belief that Randy Orton is a very boring talent to watch. His matches just lack energy and exciting conclusions that make the match worth watching. Other fans however, find him dry and uninteresting cutting promos on the microphone, I however do not share this belief at all.

Orton's matches may not have much appeal to me. It may  just be that my tastes are different from other fans, but for fans to say Orton is boring on the microphone is a total injustice! Thinks about it. Orton comes out every week on Raw and complains to The Authority about the matches he's put in, or whines about his title defenses at upcoming pay per views, and we hate it! Almost every fan in the WWE Universe right now can admit that we hate this man being our champion.

Think back to how he won the title in the first place! Orton cashed in his Money in The Bank briefcase on fan favorite, Daniel Bryan, ruining many fans celebration of their new champion at Summerslam. The WWE put Orton in this position to be hated, and that is exactly what we are giving him.

Personally, I am tired of everyone saying Orton is a boring champion. If he was a boring champion, we wouldn't be commenting. We wouldn't be complaining! There would be no reaction at all! But yet, we find it in ourselves to give a reaction. If something or someone was boring, we wouldn't react! But week after week The WWE Universe boos this man on every Raw and Smackdown.

Yes, there are many other top talents in The WWE  that we would like to see as our Champion instead. I know the obvious choices would be Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Dolph Ziggler or even Roman Reigns, but this only solidifies the amazing hate factor that Orton possesses as a heel. Tension is being built week after week within  The WWE Universe. They desperately are craving someone to take the belt off of Orton, making every upcoming pay per view must see TV!

It's like what The WWE did with The Shield's program with The Wyatt Family Monday night on Raw. They built up the tension, having The Shield come back to ringside to meet The Wyatt Family face to face. The segment was built up slowly, with each team sending members to the ring apron one by one. The Universe chanted in intense anticipation  for the two foes to clash just weeks before their scheduled match at The Elimination Chamber, but The WWE decided to build the feud up instead, by having the Wyatt Family break the tension and retreat back to the locker room.

Another example is Big Show's feud last winter with Triple H and The Authority. When the storyline first began after Summerslam. Big Show, along with many other superstars were subjected to cruel and brutal treatment at the hand of The Authority.

Big Show became Triple H's corporate puppet, as he was often asked to do his and Stephanie McMahon's evil bidding on a weekly basis. Big Show continuously showed remorse for his repeated actions against his fellow superstars, even crying as he hit  Dusty Rhodes with The K.O punch at Stephanie McMahon's order.

During this feud, it was teased multiple times that Big Show would stand up to The Authority, and lay Triple H out with a K.O Punch of his own. Tension continued to mount week after week, with Big Show coming dangerously close to knocking his boss out cold with one punch to the face.

The WWE Universe finally got their payout in early October, when Big Show surprised the crowd after the Main Event and knocked Triple H out cold. The fans in the arena stood in awe and applause, as they witnessed someone finally knock The Authority down a peg or two.

The WWE is all about building up suspenseful reactions for fans. Just because we dislike Orton as a character, doesn't mean The WWE should just have him drop the belt to Daniel Bryan. If Daniel Bryan wins the title right now, what will The Universe have to cheer about then? Nothing, because the payout will be over!

The company is currently riding a huge wave of momentum with the status quo. I know some of the product may seem boring at times, but is it really or boredom, or are we just unhappy with how slow the buildup has been until fans finally get their wanted payout?

For fans that are bored with the current product and with Orton as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, I suggest just waiting for things to change. The WWE knows that fans are waiting anxiously for this the flow of power to be shifted back to the baby faces and hero's of the company, and that's what makes the product, including Randy Orton, more interesting to watch than ever before!

Why a Win Over Randy Orton Means Nothing For The Yes Movement

The Yes Movement has to be feeling pretty good right now. Not only is their favorite superstar in the Elimination Chamber match for The WWE World Heavyweight title, but also now has a victory over the champion and face of The WWE Randy Orton.

Daniel Bryan trumpet The WWE World Heavyweight Champion Monday night, countering Orton's RKO, before catching him by surprise with a vicious running knee right to the face. The WWE Universe quickly rose to their feet, to chant the three count alongside the referee in the ring.

The victory would be short lived however, as Bryan was then attacked by his former Tag Team partner and The Director of Operations for Monday Night Raw, Kane. After a choke slam  from The Big Red Monster, Orton joined the fray, hitting Bryan with The RKO for good measure.

For those of you in The Yes Movement who think that a win over Orton Monday night is proof that The WWE plans to put the belt on him at WrestleMania 30, then like Bad News Barrett would say, I'm afraid I've got some bad news!

First off. Yes, The WWE did allow Daniel Bryan to win his match by a clean pin over Orton, but what fans need to notice, is that he in no way had the upper hand over his opponent when Raw went off the air Monday night. like so many times in the past few months , Daniel Bryan was left in a crumpled heap, as "The Viper" stood triumphantly over him, holding both  titles high above his head.

Bryan's win Monday night was nothing more than a desperate attempt by the WWE to get a cheap pop out of The WWE Universe at the end of the program. With Punk leaving the company, and John Cena out with a injury from a live show, what choice did WWE Creative have then to have Bryan get a win over Orton? Anything else would have felt like a disappointment to fans in the arena and at home.

Kane's interference at the end of the match makes it obvious that the WWE is putting Daniel Bryan in CM Punk's vacated anti authority storyline spot. The ending was designed not so Bryan would look stronger heading into The Elimination Chamber title match in two weeks, but so he would renew his rivalry with The Authority, and begin to set up his match with Triple H at WrestleMania 30.

Although the victory is meaningless for Bryan title hunt wise. The match itself was actually one of the best Orton and Bryan have had together. The bout had each superstar wearing the other down by focusing on certain body parts of their opponent, and the reversal at the end by Bryan had the biggest crowd reaction of the night (besides CM Punk chats of course!)

I know by now the members of The Yes movement that may be reading this could feel a little discouraged or angered by what I am saying, but just because Bryan's win over Orton Monday Night won't mean anything right now, doesn't mean that he still can't have a title run down the road.

Daniel Bryan versus Triple H at WrestleMania could be made more interesting if the right stipulation was added to the match. Fans of The Yes movement would certainly be more excited about the match if Bryan was guaranteed a title shot at the next pay per view for defeating Triple H at "The Show of Shows."

In the end, its better then what The WWE originally had in mind for Bryan at WrestleMania 30.  Having him face Sheamus in a match would have just been a huge disappointment for everyone that has followed Daniel Brayn's push this year . At least with a match against Triple H, he is going up against one of the best superstars of all time, and also a multiple time WWE Champion.

Who Can Replace CM Punk in The WWE?

Check out Two fan guys and The internet  by clicking right Check out Two Fat guys and The internet by clicking here

The WWE really messed up this time. Just days after the Road to WresteMania 30 kicked off at The Royal Rumble, one of their top talents may deciding to walk away from the company for good. one report states  that   CM Punk walked out on The company after being informed that Batista would be headlining WrestleMania 30. Telling The Chairman of The WWE, Vince McMahon that he was "going home."

Punk is most likely angry at the fact that for the third straight time, a part time superstar will be headlining WrestleMania, instead of a full time wrestler in the company. Punk has vocally made it a personal goal of his to headline The Show of Shows, but was yet again passed up for the spot when Batista returned last week.

Another report states that Punk walked out after arguing with backstage personnel over his scheduled segment for that Monday Night on Raw. Punk was apparently asked to cut a promo and tell The WWE Universe he suffered a concussion after being choke slammed through The Announce Table Sunday night at The Royal Rumble, and that he needed to take time off due to a concussion injury.

And yet another report states, that Punk was not happy and walked out Monday night, when he was informed that his WrestleMania 30 opponent would be Triple H.  Apparently the thought of battling The CEO  of The WWE wasn't a very appealing idea to Punk, who had already feuded with Triple H back in late 2011 during The Summer of Punk storyline.

No matter how this apparently happened, it still could be one of the biggest blows to The WWE in recent memory. Punk is one of those few guys in the company that can really connect and antagonize the WWE Universe. Without him, The WWE will surely be at a lose both in the ring and  on the microphone

The question now remains. Who can take Punk's spot if this really is the end of his career? Who else in the company can embody the outlaw that he was? Who else can drop pipe bomb on The WWE Universe on a nightly basis? Who can fill the shoes of one of the most successful wrestlers of the modern era?

Dolph Ziggler: A few superstars come to mind when thinking of the obvious gaping hole that will need to be filled if or when Punk makes his retirement official. Dolph Ziggler remains a likely candidate in my mind, do to his ability to play such a great heel at times. His in ring maneuvers could use some polishing before pushing him to the top of the industry, but  a move like the "zig-zag" certainly will make his matches exciting to watch for The WWE Universe.

Bray Wyatt: The WWE has another great talent on the microphone in Bray Wyatt. Wyatt's character of a crazed cult leader makes it easy for the NXT upstart to mystify the audience in a almost Charles Manson type manner. The Wyatt Family's announcement of " Were Here" before blowing out the lantern during their entrance is something that can quickly grab a audience's attention before Bray Wyatt even touches a microphone.

Dean Ambrose: Another guy that lets his presence known on the microphone is Dean Ambrose. Ambrose has a almost chilling way of enouncing each word is his promos, that you start to believe if he's serious about what he says he's going to do. The man gives off a dangerous look, and that might just be what the WWE needs at this time.

Ambrose is by no means ready for this position as of right now. He will still need at least a year to perfect ability in the ring as a singles competitor.  but given time, and a few changes to his current move set and pace of his matches, Ambrose could certainly begin to fill that void that Punk will leave in the WWE.

Ryback:  Ryback never really got a chance to be the best heel he could be the first time around. He was used as merely a placeholder to challenge John Cena until "Summerslam" came around . I believe Ryback had a very bad ass heel persona during his feud with John Cena back in June. If given a second chance by WWE management, I don't see why Ryback couldn't recreate that persona and become another Stone Cold Steve Austin type character in the Company.

Roman Reigns: The most obvious choice of a superstar that would spectacular in a prime time role is Roman Reigns. He may not be that great at cutting a five star promo yet, but he does get a few chilling words in during promo's with his fellow Shield Members. Reigns is a crowd pleaser with his agility and his ability to hit the spear out of nowhere, but only time will tell how the WWE decides to use him and other WWE Superstars in Punk's absence.

To be completely honest, no one will ever fully replace Punk if he does decide to leave WWE for good. His in ring work was the stuff of magic, and his pipe bombs are some of the most memorable moments of both Raw and Smackdown. Maybe one day one or more of these superstars will be able to step up and begin to fill the momentous shoes of this great superstar, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
