CM Punk's Interview Is Only One Side of The Story

Note. This is not a profesional opinion, but a opinion of fan of both CM Punk and WWE. I do not wish to act like I know everything, nor will I claim to know everything in the confins of this article. My thoughts are my thoughts and nothing more.

Colt Cobana's interview with CM Punk changes nothing. Yes, we now have the long awaited explanation of why one of the most polarizing figures in WWE decided to hang up his boots forever, but that dosent mean The WWE Universe will go quietly.

The WWE Universe has begged and even demanded answers since Punk made his departure from WWE in January of 2014. Now that Punk has finally broke his silence about leaving the company, or being fired as he claims, the discussion now has shifted from blaming Punk, to blaming Vince McMahon and The WWE for the stars departure.

This all stems from the multiple pipe bombs Punk dropped during the interview, including passing a concussion test, while knowing he and The WWE both knew he had a concussion wrestling for three months with a misdiagnosed staph infection that was called a fatty deposit by a WWE Dr. ,and even being put back on tv just days after Elbow surgery. He was even cleared over the phone to wrestle, without seeing a Dr. himself.

Punk also claims during the interview with Cobana, that he was suspended by WWE for two months, after he walked out, and even recieved his termination papers on his wedding day. This is after Punk claimed that he called for months to recieve his royalty checks from WWE, which the company refused to release.

Punk even says he had multiple offers on the table for sponsorships after his epic pipe bomb in Las Vegas, but was told by Vince McMahon, that he couldn't sign off on it, because it would upset other wrestlers and even anger Monday Night Raw's main sponsors  Punk then says that Brock Lesnar walked in less then three months later, with multiple sponsor deals allowed by McMahon.

A majority of Punk's rant is aimed at both Vince McMahon and the traveling WWE Dr., who kept Punk on antibiotics to treat a growth that has formed on his lower back. Punk claims to have asked for it to be cut off multiple times, with the Dr. instead electing to give Punk more antibiotics.

Now with Punk's side of the story out. The online discussion is now shifting to McMahon and The WWE's treatment of talent. While debate will surely make its way onto various websites and dirtsheets, it will have the same effectiveness as begging Punk to come back to The WWE, which we all know is none.

WWE fans are a fickle audience and this instance proves just that. We havent even heard WWE's side of the story yet, and everyone wants to just jump ship and call Punk a hero and Vince a ruthless business man, who mistreats his workers

This makes no sense! We already knew Vince was a ruthless bussinessman. We already knew the wellness policy had more holes in it then swiss cheese. We already knew that Vince favors some superstars over others, so why are we all going crazy over this.

Yes, we now have some of the grisealy details of what happens behind closed doors at WWE, but we are also missing something very crutial, WWE's side of the story on all this.Until the day comes that Vince McMahon or someone from WWE decides to shed light on this matter, i dont think the internet wrestling community can definitively decide anything.

Perception is often considered  reality, and while i am not calling Punk a liar, we have only been shown one version of reality in this interview.

Does WWE Need The Authority?

The WWE needs The Authority. That statement was proven true on Raw Monday night, as the show quickly descended into chaos after Triple H and Stephanie McMahons exit. The matches were poorly booked, storylines werent built upon, and no clear picture was set for The TLC pay per view next month.

Daniel Bryan returned Monday night as The GM for the night, and wasted no time humiliating Kane, and booking revenge matches in Team Cena's favor. The matches booked included, Mark Henry versus Ryback, who dismantled Henry in under a minute to win the bout.

Another match was Luke Harper versus Dean Ambrose for The IC Title, that match ended in disqualification, when Harper pushed Ambrose into the referee, forcing him to call for the bell. Ambrose started to go on a frenzy but was halted by Bray Wyatt, who hit him with Sister Abigail at ringside. The post match was great and definitely furthered the storyline between Wyatt and Ambrose, but did we really need a DQ victory to do that?

The main event was little more then a joke, with Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury teaming up with Seth Rollins, to take on Cena and Dolph Ziggleri n a handicap match. The match itself had some fun spots for the crowd, but it was really just a matter of the babyfaces getting revenge on former authority members.

The only big storyline fans were really offered last night, was the return of the anonymous Raw General Manager. A storyline that was used before in The WWE in 2010, and majory failed, when Hornswoggle was revealed to be the one running the show.

Im not against a authority figure in The WWE. I realise good must fight with evil to make a story compelling, but there is absolutley nothing compelling about a angle that failed two years ago, and looks to on its way to failing again.

The WWE had a chance to go in so many other directions. They could have announced Sting as GM of Raw, or hell even bring back Eric Bishoff. Pual Heyman would even be a exellent choice to run the show compared to a dinging computer and a email read by Michael Cole.

Why not get rid of the The Authority angle altogether and introduce something else. Maybe bring in a new faction from NXT to ravage the main roster, or maybe even bring Brock Lesnar back and have him run roughshot on the main roster himself.

My point is, if this is the best The WWE writers can think of right now, then we desprately need The Authority back in power for awhile longer We only have one match booked for TLC next month, we have no idea when the title rematch between Cena and Lesnar will be booked, and on top of that, all the momentum that  WWE came out of Survivor Series with, seems to have dissapated.

The Authority angle may have been a annoying storyline at times, especially when The Authority would constantly screw Daniel Bryan out of the WWE Title, but at the end of the day, it told a good compelling story of fighting the system. With the anonymous General Manager storyline, we dont even know who the system is to fight it!

With all this being said, one question remains. Do you miss The Authority yet? Or are you willing to give the new General manager storyline a chance?

Life After The Authority: Who Will Thrive and Who Will Struggle If The Authority Crumbles

What would life be without The Authority? Who will have the biggeest problems without The Authority by their side, and who will flourish in their new found singles careers. This article takes a look at each member of The Authority, and what the future could hold for those who have relied on The Authorities power for far too long.

Kane: To me. Kane will have the most problems keeping himself on Tv once The Authority storyline comes to a end. The man plays the enforcer heel role so well for Stephanie and Triple H, that it seems impossible to see him doing much else. I think The WWE either needs to give him a position of power as a GM of Raw or Smackdown, or revert him back to his monster heel days. Unfortunatley for Kane, the latter option is kind of limited, becuase of The WWE's focus on more kid friendly content. He could wait for Daniel Bryan to return and recreate Team Hell No, but i think The WWE has much more interest with Bryan as a singles competitor, then helping keep Kanes career alive.

Stephanie McMahon: I really hope they somehow keep her on Telivison! Her match at Summerslam versus Brie Bella, was a amazing comeback for The Billion Dollar Princes, and honestly something alot fan wants to see more of. Maybe The WWE can do a angle with Stephanie and AJ Lee once The Authority storyline is over. The two had run ins with each other in the past few years, but nothing ever came of the confrinations. If Lee and McMahon were to fight for the tile, it would probably be one of the most memorable Diva title bouts in recent memory. The angle of Stephanie trying to crawl herself back into power would really work well, and even create the humilating situations WWE fans love to see Stephanie go through if she loses to Lee.

Triple H: No offense to The King of Kings, but he should really be a special occasion kind of thing after The Authority storyline is over. The man is legend, holding every major title The WWE has ever had. His very presence can bring The WWE Universe to their feet in areanas all around the world. Thats why The WWE needs to preserve him. We are now so used to the constant appearences from The Game on Raw and Smackdown, that we almost expect it. The WWE need to take him off TV for awhile, and bring him back at the moment fans will least expect. The man can give great matches every time he enters the ring, and thats something the WWE needs to use  sparingly for some of the more major events on the calender year, So that way when he does return, The reaction will be epic

Seth Rollins: The youngest man on this list, and a man with alot of options after The Authority crumbles. Rollins is a very gifted Dolph Ziggler type athelete, able to put on amazing matches night after night. The best thing for him would be to continue his feud with his former Shield members. Theres still alot of bad blood with that rivalry, and alot more that the fans are dying to see happen with that feud. With The Money In The Bank Contract currently in his possesion, Rollins also has a golden ticket into the upper card, and a chance to have a lenghy run with The WWE World Heavyweight Title The chance to feud with a veteran in the uppper card will also do wonders for Rollins career, establishing him both backstage and amoungst his colleagues, as someone who can help carry The WWE into the next age. Heres hoping he makes the most of every oppurtunity given to him in The WWE!

Three Ways Randy Orton Can Cost The Authority At Survivor Series

The Viper has to be out for revenge after getting curb stomped twice by his former Authority brethren. The fact that Survivor Series is taking place in Orton's home town of St. Louis  Missouri, only strengthens the idea that Orton will make things interesting for Team Authority on Sunday.  The question is, How? With careers and futures on the line at Survivor Series, where is a look at three ways that Orton can help end The Authority for good.

3. Orton joins team Cena: it cant be out of the question for a little shake up in Team Cena heading into Survivor Series. Ryback seems like the odvious choice to leave the team high and dry before the match, but Erick Rowan's sudden face turn screams of suspicious as well. With a vacant spot on Team Cena and revenge on his mind, Orton would be the perfect candidate for the final spot on Team Cena.

2. Orton joins Team Authority: Team Cena may not be the only team with a vacancy on Sunday. While Henry, Rollins, Kane and Harper all seem like team players, my eye would be on Rusev to back out, and create a vacancy. The spot would allow for Orton to wrestle for Team Authority, and ultimately betray one of the members in the final moments of the match.

1.. Surprise Attack: Lets say Orton doesn't join either side come Survivor Series, that doesn't mean he cant come and crash the party in his home town of Missouri. Orton could make his surprise return during the final moments of the match, and deliver a RKO  to Rollins, while the referee is distracted and cost Team Authority the match.

No matter how it happens.  It is almost a guarantee that Randy Orton will play some kind of role at Survivor Series. The man who rose to the top with The Authority back in 2013, seems like the perfect candidate to bring them crashing down at Survivor Series
