Why Ziggler's Firing Is Best For Bussiness

Did Triple H and Stephanie McMahon save Dolph Ziggler’s career Monday night, when he was fired along with Ryback and Luke Harper? Could this be just another attempt at killing his current moment momentum, or is it the best thing for him right now?

According to PWinsider, “Several people backstage in the company were unhappy with the show and felt that the “fired” trio of Ryback, Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler were left in a bad position, particularly Ziggler considering his current push.

I find it funny that the people complaining about The WWE not doing anything with Ziggler, are the same people complaining that he was just fired as part of a storyline. Do fans honestly not see the great opportunities this storyline may open up for The Showoff?

Not only does he now have the opportunity to make a surprise return at the most unsuspecting time, but this also allows Ziggler to redefine his character, and become more of a CM Punk type hero. It all depends on how The WWE handles Ziggler’s return to action in the coming months, something the company has done very well in the past.

Consider John Cena’s feud with The Nexus in 2011. His contract was terminated, after Orton defeated Wade Barrett in a title match. Cena then invaded Raw as a spectator, and assaulted The Nexus for several week, leading up to a chairs match at TLC between Cena and Barrett. He then went on to headline WrestleMania 28 against The Miz.

Big Show was fired from by The Authority, after delivering a knockout punch to Triple H one night on Raw. The board of directors later ordered The Authority to give Big Show whatever he wanted, to avoid being sued. Big Show demanded and his job back and WWE title shot against Randy Orton at The Survivor Series Pay per view

If you’re still on the fence about Ziggler’s firing being a great thing, consider this. In 2013, The Rhodes Brothers were fired by The Authority, after losing in separate matches to Randy Orton. A few weeks later, The Rhodes brothers returned and took out members of The Authority, later culminating in a run with The Tag Team Titles.

The creative possibilities are truly endless here. Ziggler could make his return at The Royal Rumble, and mess up the finish for The Authority, he could interrupt the finish of The WWE World Heavyweight title match and force himself into the title picture. He could even join Sting in a six on six elimination match to battle The Authority for control of the company.

This could also be a great opportunity for Ziggler to show he can be the top guy in The WWE. If The fans respond to him, the way they did when Bryan started teaming with Kane to form Team Hell NO, then there is no doubt in my mind, that this will catapult him into the main event scene, and later into the title picture.

So please stop complaining and just wait and see what happens with this. Ziggler could come out of this storyline looking like the next CM Punk. If The WWE lets him loose on the microphone, allows him to speak his mind about how he has been held back for years in the company, and allows him to get over, then the possibilities are endless for his future. Just wait and see
